Halloween and bonfire weekend are the big dates in Northumberland over the next six weeks. Hexham Spook Night and Blyth’s free fireworks are both on Saturday 31 October, Morpeth Rugby Club’s bonfire is the next evening, and Hexham and Alnwick fire their displays on Saturday 7 November. Before then come the Kielder Marathon this Sunday, the Berwick Literary Festival and the pumpkin patches, already open.
