Hexham
Hexham Town Council’s Remembrance Day page sets out the morning. At 9.30am there are Remembrance services in the town’s churches, with a Parish Eucharist at Hexham Abbey. The parade leaves Hexham Moot Hall at 10.15am, followed by the service at Hexham War Memorial on Beaumont Street at 10.30am.
Morpeth
Morpeth Town Council, with the Royal British Legion, organises a service and parade every Remembrance Sunday. Its event page gives 11am on 8 November 2026 at the Cenotaph in Deuchar Park. It has not published the parade’s assembly point or route.
Blyth
Blyth Town Council’s Remembrance Services page lists four services, coordinated by the Royal British Legion’s Blyth branch: the Submariners memorial on Sunday 1 November, Cowpen Memorial on Friday 6 November, Newsham Memorial on Saturday 7 November and Ridley Park Cenotaph on Sunday 8 November. The council gives a 10.45am to 11.45am window for the series and says “more information will follow later in year”, so check individual start times nearer the day.
Alnwick
Alnwick has not yet published its 2026 arrangements, and its timing has differed from the other towns. The last details the town council still has online, for Remembrance Sunday 2022, put the service in the afternoon, at 2.30pm in St Paul’s RC Church on Percy Street, followed by a march from Green Batt just after 3pm to the War Memorial for the wreath laying. Veterans who are not members of an association were asked to contact the town council for church seating. Treat that as the pattern, not this year’s timetable.
Road closures
Any temporary road closure notices for the parades will appear on our roadworks and travel page, and town-centre car parks are on the parking page.
